Aimilia and George met in 2011 at the gym. Somewhere amidst super sets and water breaks a romance sparked. As the days turned into months the love grew stronger. A love that meant to bring this lovely couple 7 years, many memories and a family dog later to their wedding day.
“He proposed to me on my birthday in December. It was very sweet and it’s a memory I hold very dearly”. Is there a better gift in life than a promise to love and to hold you dearest forever?
Without a doubt, brides have an idea of a perfect wedding dress almost shortly after the proposal. Even if they had never previously imagined themselves walikg down the isle, it’s only natural to picture yourself as a bride when you say “yes”.
“I wanted my wedding gown to be pure white, following simple femine lines. I loved the idea of it being rich in fabric with quaint details that would make all the difference. Marianna is an exceptional wedding dress designer and a flawless professional that grasped my idea immediately and delivered it down to the tiniest detail. I absolutely loved my dress from the very first fitting. Marianna’s calm reassuring aura takes off a lot of the bridal stress and I just knew that I had one less worry. That is exactly the reason why my advice for a bride-to-be is to choose wisely all the vendors and the professionals involved. It is highly important they inspire confidence and reliability”.
The wedding day
“The part that I anticipated the most on my wedding day was to meet George at the church before the ceremony. I couldn’t wait another second to become his wife and to begin our new chapter together as husband and wife. However my absolute favorite moment has to be our first dance; there is something magical in these few minutes where you sway to the sound of you favorite song. Everything becomes less about planning and organising and all about you two and the celebration of your love and your life together”.
The next day photo session
This our favorite part of Aimilia and George’s wedding day. Photographer Chris Predoulis created a retro, haute couture inspired theme. The bride wore an impressively dramatical headpiece that was highlighted by the elegant wedding dress and gave off a theatrical feeling. The photo shoot took place in the north part of Corfu island in lake Antinioti and Almyros surrounded by nature.
A word of wisdom
“My advice for couples planning their wedding is to breathe in every second of it. Enjoy yourselves and celebrate your love. Don’t stress with the planning too much. After all, perfect is so boring”.
